Tips On How To Pick A Jewellery For Her

Jewellery is a wonderful gift that is timeless and can fit into any woman’s busy schedule. It can be a mark of sophistication, status, and even a statement that they are adorned by somebody who loves them. It is often intimidating for men to pick-out jewellery for women, but the effort is well worth how much she will appreciate her new jewellery.

Tips on how to pick jewellery for her

  • Start by looking through her current jewellery collection to get a good idea of her style. Take note of what metals and gemstones she prefers, the style themes she follows, and how many pieces she has. Look for jewellery that fits in with her style but avoid getting her a certain piece if she already has a lot of them.
  • You can also observe your partner while window shopping at jewellery store or browsing through jewellery magazine and try to find out from her reaction what she would like to wear.

  • Does she predominantly wear platinum, gold or silver? Most important is you need to make sure the lady is not allergic to your selected metal alloy.
  • Notice the size of her neck and wrists. If she is average sized, most jewellery should fit her. For necklaces, lengths of 16” to 18” are likely to fit. If she likes to wear low hanging necklaces, 20” or longer may be appropriate. If her wrists are particularly petite or large, you may want to contact the designer or jeweller to see if the size can be specially modified.
  • V-shape necklaces look good on women with heart-shaped faces, while long drop earrings elongate a square face. Chokers look best on long necks, and Y-shape necklaces favour women with short necks. Delicate earrings and necklaces are a better choice for petite women than large, jangly jewellerys.
  • Observe the style of her clothing, including what she is wearing to work and also for going out. It is likely that she will want her jewellery to coordinate with her clothing. If you are looking to purchase jewellery with a more unique presence, you might consider one-of-a-kind or limited edition designer pieces.
  • Your desired piece of jewellery should be chosen within the limits of your financial options, so set a maximum amount and stick to it. Remember, you are giving an emotional value which the jewellery represents, not the amount you spent buying the jewellery.
  • Last, but not least, you have to consider the amount of time you have available before giving the gift of jewellery. If you plan couple of months ahead, you can choose a custom made jewellery, which will naturally require more time before it is completed. On the other hand, if the time is short and you have just a week to get the jewellery, it will be better, if you choose one of the existing pieces, which the jeweller has in stock.

Remember, choose quality over quantity. It’s better to get one small, good piece of jewelry than a cheap large piece or matching set. ‘Good’ jewellery doesn’t have to be extravagant. A well-made piece of costume jewellery, or a bauble from an up-and-coming designer, is often a better choice than a precious gem you need a magnifying glass to see.

Flying A Radio Controlled Airplane

A radio-controlled airplane, often called RC aircraft or RC plane, is a small flying machine that is controlled remotely by an operator on the ground using a hand-held radio transmitter. Radio-controlled airplanes can rack up quite a bill when you consider all of the different things you have to buy in order to enjoy the hobby. You have to buy the plane model itself, as well as all the radio and motor equipment to keep it in the air. Then you have to buy gasoline, or pay for electricity to charge the battery. All in all it can be a very expensive venture. After you spend all of this money, nothing is worse than seeing your investment crash to the ground and erupt into a huge fireball (well, maybe not the fireball part; however, you can expect all of your components to be smashed beyond any working state). So when you fly your plane for the first time, you have to use extreme caution in making sure that you don’t ruin your plane and consequently waste your money.

The most important part is to choose the day and the place carefully. On the ideal day, there are perfectly clear skies, with little to no wind. Hopefully it is also warm, but if it isn’t that won’t jeopardize your mission (unless you are shivering so much that you can’t effectively control the plane). You should go to a place that offers some sort of good take-off point. Sidewalks and roads are perfect for this. You should also try to look for an area that is low on houses, trees, and preferably doesn’t have many people around.

First you need to check all of your equipment. Even if you are a pro at handling radio controlled planes, nothing can save you from faulty equipment. Check and double-check everything before you send the plane up. Be sure to pay special attention to the landing gear. Make sure it is secure, and that it will be able to withstand the force of impact when the plane touches the ground after you are done flying. Also check all of the connections between the motor and the fuel supply or batteries. Test all of the radio equipment to make sure that every motion is interpreted by the plane. Hold it in your hand as you or a friend tries all of the levers and knobs.

Set your plane on some sort of surface that will act as a good runway. If you’re in a park with sidewalks, find a large strip of sidewalk that will give your plane plenty of room to roll, gather speed, and take off. Just make sure there are no people walking in the way. Get up to speed, and if everything goes right you should lift smoothly in the air. Hopefully you will have read through the manual that came with your plane. Every radio controller is slightly different, so I can’t give you detailed instructions on that aspect of the flight. You will have to read your manual to find out how to do it well.

After the flight you need to do yet another inspection of the equipment. If it was in good shape at the beginning of the flight and the flight went by without a hitch, it isn’t likely to have some sort of new problem that has suddenly shown up. However, you should always investigate anyways, and save yourself some grief in the future. If you notice something wrong, you can take the plane directly home and take care of it, rather than wait until you notice it the next time you come out to fly.

Follow all of these procedures, along with any local laws or regulations that may affect your flying session. Flying is a fun hobby, and if you are able to follow all of the guidelines that I have provided, as well as any other factors that may affect you personally, then you will find it to be a very enjoyable and worthy pastime.

Unhealthy Food VS Healthy Food

Common in our diet are processed foods that contain high doses of fat, sugar, sodium and calories, with little nutritional value. These unhealthy foods had to be commonplace, and they had to be high in trans fats, saturated fat, sugar, or salt. Some of the most unhealthy foods in the world include high-sugar cereals, sugary drinks, deep fried foods, refined products, canned soup, margarine, processed lunch meats, ice cream.

Processed foods are typically high in refined carbohydrates that break down to sugar in your body, and are low in nutrients including fiber. They are loaded with artificial ingredients. The artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, and texturants in these unhealthy foods are touted to be “safe,” but can actually lead to many health problems, according to numerous studies.

Dairy products contain protein, calcium, B-12, and riboflavin. But whole-milk products also have an overabundance of fat and cholesterol. If you drink 16 ounces of whole milk a day, for example, it adds up to 1,904 calories, 105 grams of total fat, 59.5 grams of saturated fat, and 315 milligrams of cholesterol in a week’s time.

Butter or margarine is probably high in saturated fat that makes fats more solid at room temperature. In years past, most margarine also contributed high amounts of unhealthy trans fat, though many have been reformulated. Replace butter or margarine to canola oil or olive oil in your cooking and baking when possible is the best option because these oils are rich in mono- and polyunsaturated fat.

Most high-sugar foods like pastries, sodas and candy bars contain very little essential nutrients. People who eat them instead of other more nutritious foods will probably become deficient in many important nutrients.

Ice cream is offensive in many categories, with high levels of fat, saturated fat, sugar and calories. Study notes that due to its high saturated fat content, ice cream is one food that can contribute to heart disease.

unhealthy vs healthy1 unhealthy vs healthy

Unhealthy foods are addicting. Processed foods stimulate dopamine, a neurotransmitter that makes you feel good even though the food lacks fiber and nutrients. This can lead to excessive food cravings and, ultimately, food addiction.

Maintaining healthy diets can be tricky. For instance, you might be eating too much of raw food or you might be eating raw food, but eating too much of one category and not enough of another. Sufficient amount of plain water, good sleeping habit and enough exercise also play important role in your overall health.

Storing Different Cigars

Most people who smoke cigars prefer a few different varieties. Much the same as fine wine, no two cigars are exactly alike. When using a humidor, it is always advised that you separate different cigars so their aromas and flavors don’t react with one another.

The most expensive way to do this is by using a different humidor for each cigar. Now don’t get me wrong, we would love if you bought a few humidors from us for this purpose, but that is beyond the price range of most of us.

The easiest, and least expensive way is by using dividers. Dividers fit inside your humidor, either lengthwise or width wise and essentially create sections in which you can store different cigars. You can put a mild cigar in one compartment, a full bodied cigar in another compartment and never worry about the flavors mixing up with one another.

Radio Controlled Plane (RC Plane) For Beginner

DJI Tenth Anniversary Promotion
When you are going to buy your first RC Plane, you should go for something that will be fairly cheap to purchase, and will give you a chance to learn how to fly remote controlled planes before you move onto more advanced planes. If you buy the first plane that you see, you could end up having a very bad experience for your first time, and be completely turned away from the hobby. This is why it is very important to know that there are many different characteristics that you can look for.

First you need to assess your own building skills. You can buy airplane kits that require you to build the entire thing from scraps of wood, or you can buy kits that just require you to snap a few parts together. If you want to make a huge, prolonged project out of your radio controlled plane, then you can buy one that requires full assembly. However, you should always be sure that your building skills are up for it. If you don’t want to spend the time required to do this, or if you don’t have the prowess to build it, then you can buy a plane that does not require any assembly at all.

Next you will want to look for something that has stability for people without are flying for the first time. It may not seem like it, but to fly a radio controlled plane you need at least some skill. But, if you search for the right item you can find something that is more geared towards beginners. Slow flying speed is always a benefit, just as driving slow is a good way to learn how to control a car for the first time. You will want a light plane with larger wings that can catch the wind better. This will make takeoff easier. You will also want to look for planes that have flat bottoms, and wings mounted high on the body. If you get a plane that has all of these features, your maiden flight will be as smooth as possible.

Next you need to consider the model of the airplane you are going to buy. You can get model replicas of almost any type of plane, from the first Wright Brothers’ plane to modern military jets. If you are buying a model plane, you are probably already interested in planes to begin with. Think of what plane you are most intrigued by when you look through plane books, and see if you can find a kit that is modeled after that plane. This will give you a personal interest in the model that you are getting. When you fly it for the first time, it will be almost like being in the cockpit of the actual plane.

After you have decided on these issues when picking your plane, the rest is just up to personal preference. Hope these can help you to get your first radio controlled plane that suits you. But if you pay close attention to these and pick your plane carefully, you will find that radio controlled flying is a great way to spend your time. It is a very rewarding hobby, and it can last you a lifetime if you choose planes that are compliant with your level of skill. After all, you don’t want to go out on your first flight and then crash your plane directly into the ground or a tree.

How to Light a Cigar

160x600 bannerTo light your cigar you need the correct lighter. Some cigar buffs use cedar strips for the job. Most people prefer to use a long wooden match or a butane lighter. When using a long match, wait until the sulfur burns off before lighting the cigar. Long wooden matches are the best because they look cool and they stay lit longer. Avoid candles, paper matches, a stove, and lighters that use lighter fluid (naphtha) because the chemicals and odors can affect the taste of the tobacco.

First cut the head of the cigar (the sealed end, just take off a little bit). Take the cigar in your hand and light your flame source. Now while slowly rotating the cigar bring the flame to the foot of the cigar lightly toast the foot until the entire foot is warmed and blackened. Now put the cigar in your mouth and start lightly puffing on it and turning it, bring the flame close to but not touching the cigar. The puffing will make the flame “jump” from the match to the cigar. Keep puffing and turning until completely lit.

When the cigar is lit, remove it from your mouth and look at the foot to make sure it is burning evenly. If it isn’t, you can gently blow on the foot causing it to ignite the tobacco which is not burning or you can apply a flame to that area. If you have an area which is burning faster than the other areas, simply wet your finger and apply under the quick burning area, this should slow it down.

Superfoods

Superfoods are a special category of foods found in nature.Though there is no legal or medical definition, superfoods are nutrient powerhouses that pack large doses of antioxidants, polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals, nutrients that we need but cannot make ourselves. Eating them may reduce the risk of chronic disease, and prolong life, and people who eat more of them are healthier and thinner than those who don’t.

The Benefits of Superfoods

  • Improving your nutrition: All the superfoods are rich in the nutrients your body needs, and they’re very low in bad fats and processed sugars that can ruin a diet.
  • Strengthening your immune system: The nutrients and phytochemicals in many superfoods keep your immune system strong so you’re less likely to catch colds and the flu.
  • Fighting free radicals: Superfoods are rich in antioxidants, which destroy the free radicals that can damage the cells in your body. This protection improves your health, reduces your risk of disease, and helps you age gracefully.
  • Reducing the risk of cancer: The nutrients, fiber, good fats, and phytochemicals found in superfoods reduce your risk of several types of cancer.
  • Keeping your heart healthy: Those same nutrients, fiber, good fats, and phytochemicals also protect your heart by reducing inflammation and keeping blood vessels healthy.
  • Feeling better: Superfoods help you feel more energetic.
  • Boosting metabolism and watching your weight: Many of the superfoods are high in fiber and low in calories, so you can load up your plate without adding many extra calories. Some of the superfoods that are a little higher in calories are rich in protein, fiber, and good fats that keep hunger at bay, and some superfoods actually increase the number of calories you burn.
  • Maintaining your youthful complexion: The antioxidants in superfoods reduce damage to your skin, and many foods are rich in vitamin C that keeps connective tissue strong. The combination means beautiful, healthy skin.
Flooding you with flavor: Who says healthy has to be dull and flavorless? Superfoods are delicious and can be used in all kinds of recipes.

The Top Superfoods

For you to have a healthier life, it’s time to recreate your diet plan. Here are some important superfoods for you to add into your healthy diet plan.

Whole Grains – Switching to whole grains is one of the easiest ways to significantly improve your health.Whole grains help stabilize blood sugar and insulin and may protect against heart disease. Whole wheat flour, brown rice, barley and oatmeal are all whole grain foods. Products labeled with the words “multi-grain,”“stone-ground,” “100% wheat,” “seven-grain,” “pumpernickel,” “organic,” or “bran” may actually contain little or no whole grain. Experiment with ancient grains such as amaranth, spelt, kamut, and quinoa. These have more protein and fibre than wheat. Quinoa is glutenfree, which is a good news for those who suffering on wheat allergies.

Avocado – Though avocados contain more fat than almost any other fruit, it’s virtually all monounsaturated fat whose many benefits include raising good cholesterol, lowering bad cholesterol and preventing heart disease. They’re loaded with fiber and are a good source of lutein, an antioxidant linked to eye and skin health.

Kiwi – Kiwi is an antioxidant all-star. It offers an unusual array of health-promoting substances. One very important thing it does is it promotes heart health by helping to lower triglycerides levels and reducing platelet hyperactivity.

Green Tea – Green tea is rich in epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) — a powerful antioxidant that not only inhibits the growth of cancer cells but improves the flexibility of veins and arteries so they are less vulnerable to clogging. Green tea may also increase mental alertness, aid in weight loss, reduce LDL cholesterol, and protect the skin from sun damage.

Berries – Raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and blueberries make their “all-star team of superberries.” Each should be added equally to a diet to reap their individual benefits: strawberries for potassium, raspberries for vitamin C, blueberries for fiber and blackberries for vitamin E and more. These berries are full of phytonutrients that neutralize free radicals (agents that cause aging and cell damage). The antioxidants in these berries may also protect against cancer and reduce the effects of age-related conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.

Cabbage – Brassica vegetables (including broccoli, bok choy) contain compounds called indoles, which have been shown to reduce the risk of cancer dramatically. Eating cabbage more than once a week cut men’s colon cancer odds by 66 percent. Cabbage also stimulates the immune system, kills bacteria and viruses, and is a good blood purifier. If you go for the red variety, you’ll also get a healthy dose of anthocyanins (the same pigment molecules that make blueberries blue), another powerful antioxidant with an anticancer punch.

Beans – Such as pinto beans, black beans and lentils are another series of foods to lower cholesterol, combat heart disease, stabilize blood sugar, reduce obesity, relieve constipation and lessen the risk of cancer.Black beans are full of heart-healthy fiber, antioxidants, and energy-boosting iron.

Red Wine – A small amount of any kind of alcohol each day does your heart good by increasing HDL cholesterol and reducing the risk of blood clots. Resist a refill, however: More than one drink daily has been linked to high blood pressure. Red wine also contains powerful antioxidants, resveratrol and saponins, which may provide additional cardiovascular benefits. Recent research indicates that red wine can also help prevent Alzheimer’s disease.

Salmon – Salmon contains omega-3 fatty acids, which the body cannot produce by itself. These fatty acids reduce inflammation, improve circulation, increase the ratio of good to bad cholesterol, and may slash cancer risk. Salmon is a rich source of selenium, which helps prevent cell damage, and several B vitamins.

Dark Chocolate – Chocolate is good for us, but only if it contains at least 65 percent cacao. Dark chocolate contains about eight times the antioxidants found in strawberries. Compounds in dark chocolate help regulate blood pressure, LDL cholesterol and hormone levels, and chocolate also provides endorphins and serotonin — which are mood elevators.
